Champagne Dreams, Beer Budget

Big ideas come with big price tags as it turns out. While you can pretty much achieve your dream pizza at home on a budget, turning a busted backyard into a California chill palace is a horse of a different color.

So now it’s time to get creative. I’m going to be taking lawn-to-garden classes provided by the Long Beach Water Department to learn how to transform a guzzling money pit into an efficient and classy spot to lounge. Additionally, I’m going to scavenge the flea market and warehouse sales this weekend   looking for tables, chairs, odds and ends.

Hopefully I can find a sweet spot between my champagne dreams and beer budget…

Get thee to a brewery…errr, house party?

So Adam Carolla is a cool guy. Later this month he is throwing a fancy, awesome kegger to support LA’s Shakespeare programs. Uhmm yeah. I was sorta confused at first too, but then I stopped caring about the whys and wherefores and started getting excited about the hefeweizen Hamlets and lager-induced soliloquies. Now we just need to start digging under the couch cushions for the admission fee…

Hosted at the home of Lynette and Adam Carolla, the Inaugural ShakesBEER Kegger fundraiser will raise awareness and support for the award-winning programs of Shakespeare Festival/LA.
